Couple days ago, i decided to upgrade my other blog engine from wordpress 2.2.3 to wordpress 2.5.1. It wasn’t easy as we can read at how to upgrade wordpress article.
The error message you may get is like bellow :
Call to undefined function _http_build_query() in /your_wp_directory/wp-includes/functions.php on line 583
I found much peoples get this problem as you can see on wordpress forum. So, what do we should do to fix this problem ? ok, the first and least, you should backup your database before do this. If you have sure, follow next step bellow :
- Deactivate all your plugins.
- Make your permalink structure to wordpress default.
- Delete wp-admin and wp-includes folder include its files.
-
copy the new version of wp-admin and wp-includes into your server
- Replace wp-settings.php and index.php on your wordpress root directory with the new version (this’s the point).
- then, like what we could read at how to upgrade wordpress article, just run the upgrade file (http://yourhost/wp-admin/upgrade.php)
I Choose automatic upgrade plugin, because there is some risk for Newbie like me!…
